Hyundai League 2007 Grand Final, 18th February 2007 at the Telstra Dome, where Melbourne Victory thrashed Adelaide United 6-0 in the Soccer national league.

The Newcastle Jets – a team dismissed at the start of the 2007/08 season as potential cellar dwellers – have taken all before them and claimed their first Hyundai A-League trophy with a one-nil defeat of fierce near neighbours, the Central Coast Mariners.

In a tight, tense contest that had no shortage of feeling, it was striker Mark Bridge who capitalised in the 64th minute to net the only goal at Sydney Football Stadium.
