Winter Olympics Gold

Australia has claimed a second gold medal at the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games, with Lydia Lassila winning the women’s freestyle aerials final at Cypress Mountain.
Lassila’s win makes the Vancouver 2010 Games Australia’s most successful Winter Olympics ever. It is the first time Australia has won three medals at a Winter Olympics.
Lassila’s triumph comes after Torah Bright’s gold in Halfpipe and Dale Begg-Smith’s silver in Moguls – That result surpasses the previous best of two gold won by Australia at the 2002 Salt Lake Games when Steven Bradbury and Alisa Camplin stood atop the podium.
